The weather is healthy and pleasant in Malawi, provided you avoid the southern lowlands of the Shire Valley where extreme heat and very high humidity are the order of the day - and nights. Conditions around Lake Malawi are delightful with hot sunshine tempered by cool breezes. The rainy season is from November to March although the mountain areas are very wet indeed with the heaviest rains occurring a little later, in March and April.
