Are there entry restrictions to Iran due to the coronavirus?
Iran is open for tourism from the UK. There are no direct flights between the UK and Iran.
Negative PCR or NAAT test results required for arrivals from the UK. Further test on arrival and short isolation for all unvaccinated visitors.

Do I need to quarantine in the UK if I travel from Iran?
Iran is on the Amber list in the UK.
If you have been in or through Iran in the previous 10 days, and are not exempt by reason of being fully vaccinated, you must quarantine at home for 10 days when arriving in the UK.
A pre-departure test in Iran is required as well as PCR tests on days 2 & 8 in the UK while in quarantine. The Test to Release scheme can be used in England on day 5 to shorten the quarantine period.
Adults who have been fully vaccinated in the UK, US or EU and under 18s arriving are exempt from quarantine but must still take the Day 2 test.
