Ukraine weather overview

The Ukraine, which lies to the southwest of European Russia and has a Black Sea coast, has warm but wet summers with up to 10 hours of sunshine per day. Winters are bitingly cold, especially when the harsh winds from Siberia blow. An exception is the Crimean peninsular on the Black Sea which has milder winters, but these warmer conditions are marred by extremely heavy rain.

What to pack for Ukraine weather

Take light clothes in the summer. Mix in warmer clothes for spring and autumn visits and wrap up heavily to brave the winter months. Always be prepared for rain.
