Guinea weather overview
Guinea has a tropical climate with very high rainfall during its May to November rainy season. Downpours reach their peak in July, August and September and are particularly heavy on the Atlantic coast where there is little sunshine to be seen during the wet months.
Humidity levels are high all year round but, when the rains tail off in early November, the country enjoys a period of hot, bright weather which lasts until April.
What to pack for Guinea weather
Light clothing is fine from November to April but waterproofs are essential during the rainy season.
