Richard Mellor is a freelance travel writer covering a wide range of travel topics. Richard's career began in travel PR, promoting holiday companies and destinations. He soon realised that he preferred writing about foreign lands to showing them to journalists so swapped sides.
As well as regularly featuring in Metro, The Guardian, The I and The Times, Richard has authored a book, "Foodie Breaks", and writes a weekly column for Roxhill Media's newsletter, which offers advice from a journalist's perspective to travel PRs.
