French Polynesia weather overview

French Polynesia comprises the Society Islands (which include Tahiti and the capital Papeete), Tuamotu and the Gambier Islands, the Tubuai chain and the Marquesas Islands. There are two main seasons in these tropical islands: the weather is hot, sticky and wet from November to April while slightly cooler and much drier conditions prevail between May and October.

Conditions are kept bearable by strong sea breezes but these can make evenings chilly.
