Turks and Caicos Islands weather overview
These 30 islands lie at the south-eastern end of the Bahamas chain and comprise two principal groups, each surrounded by a large coral reef. The Caicos is the larger group and includes Providenciales - the main tourist resort - as well as uninhabited West Caicos (great for fishing and diving), the 'garden island' of North Caicos and the largely undeveloped Grand Caicos, which is famous for its dramatic caves.
Given their position, rainfall is relatively light; the wettest months are from September to November although there is the chance of tropical storms or hurricanes between July and November. The Turks and Caicos are consistently hot throughout the year but trade winds temper humidity to create a balmy, pleasant environment.
What to pack for Turks and Caicos Islands weather
Pack lightweight clothes, beachwear and take cover-ups for winter evenings which can be chilly.
