Are there entry restrictions to American Samoa due to the coronavirus?

American Samoa is closed for tourism. All non-resident foreign nationals are banned from entering.

Negative PCR or NAAT test results required for arrivals from the UK. All arrivals face a period of quarantine on entering American Samoa. Series of 3 tests to be taken over 10 days in Hawaii prior to travel.

Do I need to quarantine in the UK if I travel from American Samoa?

American Samoa is on the Amber list in the UK.

If you have been in or through American Samoa in the previous 10 days, and are not exempt by reason of being fully vaccinated, you must quarantine at home for 10 days when arriving in the UK.

A pre-departure test in American Samoa is required as well as PCR tests on days 2 & 8 in the UK while in quarantine. The Test to Release scheme can be used in England on day 5 to shorten the quarantine period.

Adults who have been fully vaccinated in the UK, US or EU and under 18s arriving are exempt from quarantine but must still take the Day 2 test.
