About Knowsley Safari Park

Opened in 1971, Knowsley Safari Park^* in Prescot is a 550-acre safari park home to dozens of animals big and small, from amur tigers to meerkats. See them in their natural habitats during a five-mile safari drive: the UK's longest.

Alternatively, leave your car in the car park and travel around by baboon bus. In addition to more than 36 species to discover, Knowsley Safari Park has rides and amusements, making for a fun and action-packed family day out.

Knowsley Safari Park is located just outside of Liverpool and is clearly signposted from the M62 motorway. Exit at junction 6 to join the M57, and from there, you'll take junction 2 and follow the brown road signs to the park.

By train: Prescot train station is the nearest stop to Knowsley Safari Park. There are trains from Liverpool Lime Street every 30 minutes, and it takes less than half an hour to walk from Prescot Train Station to the safari park. Alternatively, you could get a taxi from the train station.
