The cruises are part of Virgin Voyages*' Summer Soirée Series. Choose between the Long Weekender itinerary, which will operate for three nights from Friday to Monday, and Summer WeekDaze itinerary, which will run for four nights from Monday to Friday.

All cruises will depart from Portsmouth and take in the sights of England's south coast. The sailings, which are pitched as a 'staycation-at-sea', aim to delight travel-starved Brits while offering a taste of what to expect and experience on board Virgin cruise.

With safety in mind, the trips will only be open to UK residents and anyone over the age of 18 must have been vaccinated by the time of departure. Additional details regarding testing will be released closer to the time.

Tom McAlpin, CEO and President of Virgin Voyages, said of the UK cruises: "After more than a year of waiting and a major emphasis on a safe return, we're ecstatic to announce these new sailings and bring sailors onboard to experience what it's like to set sail the Virgin Way.

"We look at our UK summer voyages as a homecoming to pay homage to our British roots, and what an excellent way to kick-off our sailing season before heading back to PortMiami."
