Sandals Curaçao to open in April 2022
Luxury all-inclusive specialist Sandals is gearing up to open its first all-singing, all-dancing resort on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao in the Lesser Antilles on 14 April 2022.
The first Sandals resort on the island, it marks the seventh destination in the Caribbean for Sandals* and takes its portfolio of resorts to 16 in the region.
Renovations are taking place on an existing 44-acre resort, formerly Santa Barbara Beach and Golf Resort, which sits within a beautiful 3,000-acre protected preserve along Spanish Water Bay, just 15 minutes from the airport.
The upgraded resort, which is currently being fully "Sandalized", will include 351 super-luxurious swim-up suites, nine restaurants (eight of which are brand new and exclusive to Sandals Curaçao), three seafront wedding venues, enormous swimming pools, two marinas and a neighbouring 18-hole golf course.
Adam Stewart, Deputy Chairman of Sandals Resorts, said: "The new Sandals Curaçao* embodies our philosophy of forward-thinking and looking through a new lens. Curaçao is a place to be discovered, and by becoming part of this community, we plan to do more than our part to raise the world's appreciation of this beautiful destination."
