Club Med to open two new ski resorts in France for winter 2022/23

Tour operator Club Med* has revealed details of two new properties it is set to open in France for the 2022/23 winter ski season.

The resorts, which are ready to book, will open in Tignes* and Val d'Isere* in December 2022.

The new 4T Club Med Tignes will offer ski-in/ski-out facilities, over 400 rooms and 25 deluxe suites as well as various dining options, bars, lounge and terrace.

There will also be a spa and what will be the largest of Club Med's indoor swimming pools among its Alpine resorts.

Meanwhile, the new 5T Club Med Val d'Isere marks the first in the Exclusive Collection to open in France. It's had a vast €47.5m renovation and boasts 95 rooms, 91 deluxe rooms with balconies and 30 suites.

There is also set to be a wellness centre with a swimming pool, spa and gym as well as ski-in/ski-out facilities and various opportunities for private lessons in everything from ski touring to ice skating.

These new reports are part of Club Med's expansion programme, which will see a number of new resorts open over the next five years from the ski slopes of La Rosière*, France and Utah, USA to new eco-friendly resorts in the Seychelles* and Benin, West Africa.

Club Med to open first Spanish resort in over 20 years

Holiday favourite Club Med* is set to open a new all-inclusive resort on the south coast of Spain. The resort, which is due to open in spring 2022, will be located close to the lively town of Marbella in Andalusia.

Club Med Magna Marbella* will be the first property operated by Club Med in Spain for over 20 years and lie just a 20-minute walk from the action-packed heart of Marbella.

The 14-acre resort will have no fewer than five swimming pools, a water park, spa and wellness centre, adults-only Zen Zone, kids' clubs, two restaurants and three bars. Activities on offer will include golf, tennis and water sports, among others.
