FAQs
Can I travel with my pet on Wightlink?
Yes, all Wightlink vessels are dog-friendly* and have dedicated pet-friendly areas for you and your canine companion during the journey. Pets travel for free.
Will I be charged for driving through the Portsmouth Clean Air Zone?
The Portsmouth Port is in the Clean Air Zone (CAZ); however, it's most unlikely that you'll be charged, as it only applies to older, more polluting vehicles like those typically used by taxi companies, older buses and coaches, and HGVs. You can find more information on the CAZ in relation to Wightlink ferries* here.
Do children travel for free with Wightlink?
Children under the age of four travel for free with Wightlink*, but they must still be named and included on your ticket. Children aged between four and 15 years old can travel at the child rate, while anyone over 15 is classified as an adult.
