About Balearia

Founded in 1998, Balearia is a leading Spanish shipping line, ferrying both passengers and cargo in and around the Balearic archipelago as well as further afield.

Balearia is the only ferry operator in the Balearic Islands to offer connections between all four of the islands - Majora, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera - making it the go-to operator if you're hopping between the islands.

Balearia's fleet & seating

Balearia has a fleet of 31 ships, a mix of 'Ferries' and 'Fast ferries', operating in the Mediterranean with a seat for every budget. Options vary by ship and destination but typically include the standard lounge seat, superior lounge seat and cabin for up to four people on longer crossings.

For that first-class feel, look out for the VIP lounge, exclusively aboard Ramon Llull*, and specious VIP cabins on sailing with Bahama Mama* and Martín i Soler*.

Why book with Balearia?

Balearia prides itself on its trusted, reliable service, competitive fares and frequent special offers. Add to this the fact that Balearia can accommodate travellers in every form, whether on two feet, two wheels, in a vehicle* or accompanied by a pet*, and it's easy to see why Balearia is a really flexible as well as affordable option.

Life at sea with Balearia is no hardship: although precise options vary by ship, you can expect a selection of restaurants and bars, as well as entertainment and either free or paid-for wifi (again, dependent on the ship).
