What is TUI's Holidays for Heroes?

Holiday for Heroes is TUI's way of saying thank you to all NHS workers by offering exclusive discounts on a wide variety of holidays and cruises. This could be price reductions on top of existing deals, free kids' places or special offers on popular holiday destinations.

Who qualifies for Holidays for Heroes?

Anybody with a valid NHS email address or a unique code qualifies for TUI's Holiday for Heroes^* savings. This email address or code can belong to any passenger on your booking. As long as it's valid, you're eligible for NHS savings on your next holiday.

How to access deals & discounts

All you need to do to access exclusive deals and discounts for NHS workers is to search for a holiday through the TUI Holiday for Heroes website^*. All applicable savings are applied automatically.

In order to book, you'll need a valid NHS email address; this could belong to you or another passenger on your booking. Alternatively, you can use your unique access code.

Last-minute holidays^* - keen to get away soon? TUI offers a range of last-minute holidays at already discounted prices. With NHS exclusive discounts on top, there are many bargains to be found
Family holidays^* - whether you're booking last-minute or planning ahead, TUI offers a variety of family-friendly holidays to keep every age happy. NHS discounts bring the total cost down
All-inclusive holidays^* - choosing all-inclusive can often work out cheaper since food, drinks & snacks come included in the holiday price. Throw in TUI's extra NHS discount & you'll save even more

Sticking to a budget? TUI Holiday for Heroes makes it easy to search, browse and book holidays within a certain price range. Simply use the Browse by Price^* option or use the 'Budget' filter to refine your results when searching for holidays. You can browse holidays within the following budget range:

up to £300pp^* - if you're lucky, this price range can find you a basic self-catering holiday
up to £500pp^* - you can find a range of cheap & cheerful breaks within this price range
up to £700pp^* - increasing your budget to £700 per person opens up a wide variety of holiday types & destinations with four-star accommodation deals to be found
up to £1,000pp^* - stretching your budget up to £1,000 per person presents a wider choice of three & four-star holidays including hotels with the Green & Fair label
£1,000pp or more - searching holidays above £1,000 per person naturally presents a more luxurious choice of TUI holidays with many discounts still up for grabs

Terms & conditions

The TUI Holiday for Heroes (NHS) website is owned and operated by TUI UK Retail Limited and acts as an agent for TUI. As with all TUI flight-inclusive bookings, all holidays booked through the platform are financially provided by the ATOL scheme.

Only NHS employees may use TUI Holiday for Heroes for personal holiday bookings, which must be made using a valid NHS email address belonging to one of the passengers on the booking. If the NHS email doesn't match one of the passenger names, the administration team will remove the exclusive NHS discount from the booking.

Before your holiday's been confirmed, you'll be shown a final price for your booking.

Exclusive NHS discounts

TUI Holiday for Heroes offers an extra £30 off per booking on TUI package holidays, Marella/TUI River Cruises, TUI Tours and TUI Multicentre when you spend under £1,200. If you're spending more than £1,200, you can receive an extra £100 off (unless you're booking through a TUI retail store, in which case the maximum discount is £75).

Please note that these discounts do not apply to accommodation-only, flight-only, flight-only or ski bookings and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount codes, including those offered through the TUI Smiles Rewards Club. This offer is also subject to availability and may be amended or withdrawn at any time without notice. Always check the full terms and conditions before you book.

Low deposit holidays

If you've booked your NHS holiday using TUI's low deposit scheme^*, you'll need to pay your balance within 12 weeks of making your booking. The deposit amount you pay per person at the time of booking varies depending on the holiday type. Always read the small print at the time of booking to understand the terms and conditions around this deal.

Free kids' places

TUI's free child place offer^* applies to selected holidays and new bookings only. To qualify, the booking must include at least two full-paying passengers. Only one free child place can be used per booking; any other children must pay the full brochure price.

TUI Flex

TUI Flex^* is an optional add-on available on selected passenger holidays including flights with TUI Airways booked at least 90 days before departure. Valid until 28 days before you fly, it lets you change your holiday at no extra cost. Once you're within 28 days of your departure date, normal booking conditions apply.

You can only add the TUI Flex offer at the time of booking, and you must apply it to all passengers on the booking. If you do make a change, any discount codes applied to the original booking will not apply to your new holiday.

In the unlikely event that TUI cancels your holiday, your TUI Flex fee will be refunded. Always read the full T&Cs before you book a TUI Flex holiday so that you fully understand any exclusions around your booking.

Holiday vouchers

TUI holiday vouchers can be used to reduce the price of any TUI, First Choice, Marella Cruises or TUI River Cruises package holiday, as well as for a TUI Airways flight-only, TUI or First Choice accommodation-only or a Marella Cruises or TUI River Cruises cabin-only booking.

Valid for 18 months from the date of issue, holiday vouchers are non-transferable and can only be redeemed once. They also can't be converted to cash or used to cover the deposit only; holiday vouchers must be used to either pay the balance or the holiday in full. If you cancel your holiday, your TUI voucher will not be refunded. In the unlikely event that TUI cancels your holiday, you'll be issued with a new holiday voucher.

Passports & visas

Always make sure you have a valid passport for travel outside the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. Selected destinations require at least six months validity remaining on the passport before your return date.

Before you book your holiday, you must double-check that all members of your party have valid passports, as well as any visa and health vaccinations that apply to your destination. It's also highly recommended you take out adequate travel insurance to cover you for all eventualities.
