Croatia weather overview
The Dalmatian coast of Croatia is one of the best known tourist regions of this part of the former Yugoslavia.
It has a pleasant Mediterranean climate of sunny, hot summers (occasionally interrupted by thunderstorms) and largely mild, wet winters although icy winds from central Europe can gust in and make life unpleasant.
Inland, and to the East, conditions are more extreme although rainfall is lower than on the coast. In the mountain areas, winters can be bitterly cold with heavy and long-lying snow.

What to pack for Croatia weather
Take light clothing if you are visiting the coast, backed up by a few warmer items for cool nights. Much warmer clothing and rainwear is needed for travelling in the winter.
