We're looking for a dynamic social media and digital marketing executive to join us at in Woking. The job will centre around social media, so we need someone who can create engaging campaigns, build our following and reach, use social media monitoring and analytics tools, and effectively report on our progress. There will also be other aspects of digital marketing involved, and you will need to be willing to help out with ad hoc tasks in other areas of the business. travel deals for your holiday in the sun

Join our small, nimble team where you'll have the opportunity to learn from all areas in the business, and collaborate with colleagues and clients. We're looking for someone with a proactive and can-do attitude - someone able to support across the business and contribute to our growth, participate in our strategic discussions, help increase brand awareness, and lead in the creation of marketing materials such as infographics and ebooks, press releases, award entries, and newsletter content. You'll need to be a good team player with an interest in travel.

Key responsibilities

  • own and manage all social media channels
  • create engaging social media campaigns; drive amplification
  • monitor and report on social media channels
  • own marketing tasks including comment marketing, award entries, and the weekly newsletter
  • maintain marketing messages for leading travel clients
  • work closely with the director to help meet major travel clients' objectives online
  • help build relationships with travel clients and attend occasional travel and marketing events

Key skills and experience

Our ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills - someone who can tell a good digital story plus solid all round knowledge of social media and digital marketing. You will be able to work independently within a small team and be confident and professional at networking events. The following is essential:

  • at least 3 years' experience of delivering social media campaigns and budgets
  • experience of creating and managing a social media calendar
  • good writing skills including copywriting and headline writing (SEO experience an advantage)
  • experience of digital marketing (affiliate and content marketing an advantage)
  • good timekeeping and organisational skills

Working knowledge of following tools is essential:

  • MS Office (Word and Excel; an advantage but not essential)
  • Google Drive
  • social media:
    • Twitter / Facebook / Pinterest / Instagram / Stumbleupon / Snapchat / LinkedIn / Reddit... etc
    • scheduling and management tools such as HootSuite or TweetDeck
    • monitoring and analytics tools
  • at least a basic understanding of SEO, keyword tools, and content marketing
  • Google Analytics, Google Trends, and sites such as Buzzsumo an advantage
  • image editing (knowledge of Photoshop, Fireworks or equivalent)
  • ...a willingness to learn any of the above and more!
