What are TUI free child places?
A TUI free child place is a promotion on new holiday bookings with TUI, allowing one child to travel free with every two full-paying travellers sharing a hotel room, apartment or villa.
Subject to availability (once they're gone, they're gone), free kids' places include flights, accommodation, transfers and the advertised board basis. They can also be used in conjunction with other promo codes for further savings.
Who qualifies?
Holidaymakers looking to take advantage of a free child place must have at least two full-paying passengers and a minimum of one child on the same booking. This could be two adults and one child, or one adult and two children. Up to one free child place is available on each booking.
The maximum age limit for a TUI free kids place is 16. While some hotels offer free kids' places to children aged 16 and under, others may have stricter limits. For example, selected hotels may only offer free child places to kids aged between two and 11.
The free child place is allocated to the youngest child on the booking. Other children in the party will be charged the full brochure price.
What's included & what's not?
With TUI, a free kid's place includes flights, transfers to and from the airport and accommodation, including full use of the facilities when you're there. Food and drink in line with the board basis is also included. Any food or drink not included in the board basis will need to be purchased as extra.
Please note that 'TUI kids go free' deals do not include holiday extras such as resort-paid activities, paid kids clubs and childcare, premium seat collection, additional baggage or any inflight meals. You'll also still need to pay for travel insurance and any local tourism taxes that apply.
How to find free child places
Finding a TUI free child place works in the same way as booking a regular holiday. Simply select how many adults and kids are travelling in the search box, as well as the ages they'll be on the flight home, and TUI will present a list of holidays for your departure point and destination.

Top tips for travelling with children
Nobody said travelling with children was easy, but plan and prepare accordingly and you're halfway there. Follow our top tips for travelling with kids:
- Book in advance - plan ahead to grab a free child place on your holiday; more savings = more money to spend when you get there
- Look out for promo codes - see our TUI discount codes to find eligible codes for your booking; remember, you can use them in conjunction with free child places
- Grab a last-minute deal - if you're keen to get away soon & you're fairly flexible with where you go, browse TUI's last-minute holiday offers for a cheaper family break
- Sign up to the TUI newsletter - subscribe to TUI's newsletter to be the first to know about any new TUI deals that drop for a cheaper family holiday
- Prepare your documents - ensure your child has a valid passport; if you don't share the same surname with your child, you'll also need to bring a signed letter or birth certificate to confirm your relationship & permission to journey with them
- Bring a small buggy - if you're travelling with young children, bring a lightweight buggy (under 10kg), which is free to check in & it can also be classed as the larger piece of your hand luggage, meaning you can bring it with you on the plane. If you have a larger buggy, you can still bring it with you & use it at the airport before handing it to the TUI team at the gate (your buggy will then be returned on the luggage belt on arrival)
- Board early - arrive at your gate in good time to give yourselves more time to settle in on the aircraft; TUI allows those with young children to board the aircraft first to ensure boarding goes smoothly for families
- Provide snacks & entertainment - pack snacks & compact items your child enjoys in your carry-on luggage to keep them busy on the flight; this could be fidget spinners, puzzle books or notepads depending on their age
- Manage your nappy supply - if you're travelling with an infant, pack a compact pouch with a couple of nappies, wipes & sanitiser to avoid having to take your whole baby bag into a cramped aircraft toilet
- Book a family-friendly hotel - look out for accommodation that caters to kids on holidays; swimming pools, kids' clubs & close proximity to the beach can make family getaways feel so much easier
- Choose all-inclusive - consider going all-inclusive to take the hassle & expense of purchasing endless ice creams & snacks whilst you're there
- Travel in a big group - invite grandparents or friends with kids along to ease the parenting load, build bonds & enjoy special memories together
- Purchase travel insurance - always make sure you have a travel insurance policy in place that covers all travellers on your booking, including the children
