An eSIM, or embedded SIM, is a digital sim card that can be added to your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch. Unlike a physical SIM card, which needs to be inserted into your device, an eSIM is downloaded to your device with its own data plan.

You can store more than one eSIM profile on your eSIM-compatible device and switch between different ones as and when you need them.

Will Maya eSIMs replace my current mobile plan?

No, installing a Maya Mobile eSIM won't replace your existing phone plan. Instead, it simply adds a new secondary data plan to your device, which you can activate and deactivate as and when you like.

It doesn't provide a phone number for calling or SMS. When your Maya eSIM is activated, your phone will exclusively use your eSIM for your mobile data, meaning you won't be charged expensive roaming fees when you use your device.

Will Maya Mobile record my internet activity or location?

No. Maya Mobile does not record your browsing activity or location. Whatever you do online is completely private. The only information collected by Maya Mobile is the time and data (megabytes) consumed, and the cellular provider of each data connection, and that's because it's required to do so by law.

Can eSIMs be installed on more than one device?

No, each eSIM can only be installed on one device. If you require eSIMs for multiple devices, you'll need to purchase an additional eSIM for each extra device. Alternatively, you can turn on Mobile Hotspot/Internet Sharing on your phone and connect your other devices using the broadcast Wi-Fi network.
