About Helpful Holidays
Helpful Holidays' main focus is in Devon and Cornwall, but it also has cottages to let in Dorset and Somerset, plus a handful in the New Forest in Hampshire.
The company is based in Devon and has been operating since the mid-1980s. By restricting its operation to just one region of the UK, Helpful Holidays has become the specialist in the area and is, therefore, able to offer a wider range of choice to prospective holidaymakers.
Of the 850 or so properties on its books, over 700 are in Devon and Cornwall which makes Helpful Holidays the "go-to" company if you are looking for a self-catering holiday in the West Country.
Destinations
The southwest of England has long been a popular holiday destination. Cornwall is one of the best spots in the UK for surfing, and also has some of the most beautiful beaches - not to mention great seafood.
The rugged coastline of southern Cornwall is also home to some of the prettiest old fishing villages in the UK.
Devon boasts two national parks within its borders and a further five Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and if you really want to travel back in time, the 185 million-year-old Jurassic coast in west Dorset is home to fossils and countless trails through the rolling hills.
