Hong Kong weather overview

Hong Kong lies on the border of the tropics and has a monsoon climate with a heavy rainy season stretching from May to September.

The climate is predominantly dry and pleasant from mid- October to March although the spring months, February to April, are sometimes cloudy and overcast.

Summers can be very clammy and hot as well as rainy and you should be wary of visiting between July and September when typhoons, blowing in from the South China Sea, can wreak havoc.
