Papua New Guinea weather overview

Papua New Guinea, the eastern part of the island of New Guinea, has mountains at its heart and a tropical climate throughout. The swamplands in the south (which include Port Moresby) have the lowest rainfall but are always humid and oppressive. Higher regions are cooler, with snow on the highest peaks and heavy rainfall all year. The north, which includes the Sepik River, endures torrential rains during the northwest monsoon (November to March).

What to pack for Papua New Guinea weather
