Cuba Weather Summary

Cuba has a single rainy season from May to October, with the heaviest rainfall occurring on the low-lying north coast of the island and in the hills of the interior. The driest region is in the southeast. Tropical storms and hurricanes can hit between July and November. Cooler continental air blowing in from North America can occasionally send temperatures in western Cuba down below 10°C (50°F), but generally speaking, Cuba is hot all year.

Temperatures are never extreme and even at their hottest, they rarely make conditions unbearable because they are mitigated by cooling sea breezes. Nights can be sticky, though.

What to Pack

Light cotton clothing is fine but warmer cover-ups are advisable for winter visits.
